Our manifesto

CODEGA is a new brand in the world of lighting that creates “multi-purpose lamps”, which not only do lighting, but “dress” the light with the aim of improving people’s quality of life.

From the Greek “òdegos” (guide), Codega was the name given to Venice to the “light bearer” following a law, imposed in 1450, which required someone to walk in front of it with a lantern that illuminates your path after 3 o’clock. of the morning. Years later, the same word “Codega” was used to name those who escorted, carrying a lantern, the ladies after a show or other event.

A figure that belongs to our Italian history, but can also be considered archetypal, linked to the relationship between light and darkness.

Light that does not only make light

The Codega brand was born to create the best synthesis of the light-man relationship. Not just luminaires, but the alchemical synthesis of the union between design, light and “human centric” functions. Italian creativity has given life to a unique product: an elegant lamp, with a hi-tech heart, which gives well-being.

Lamps designed according to the Monza Method

The “Monza Method” is a three-dimensional perception lighting system based on the use of LED lighting integrated with disciplines such as neuroscience and neuro aesthetics. It takes its name from the lighting project created for the Teodolinda Chapel in Monza, which has been the first application. Monza Method has been created by Consuline.

The excellence of made in Italy

Creativity and innovation would be nothing without the skilful manufacture of those who have been dealing with lamps all their lives. Our lamps are born from the same laboratories in Brescia which are “the cradle” of Italian lighting design.
